For Autism “Awareness” Month, I’m telling thirty inspiring short stories about an inspirational autistic person – me! Thrill at my incredible exploits…with autism!
An autistic woman brushed her teeth this morning, according to a confidential source.
“I’ve never seen anything like it,” said the source, who wished to remain anonymous from his hiding place inside the autistic woman’s bathroom walls. “I was all ready for her to just comb her hair and maybe take an aspirin, but before I knew it, there she was, toothbrush in hand, scrubbing away.”
“I didn’t even know autistic people had teeth,” he added.
Further investigation has revealed that the autistic woman’s toothbrush was an Oral-B brand. Investigators were unable to determine the brand of toothpaste used, but said it was “probably the whitening kind.”
